Japanese wireless operator NTT DoCoMo plans to dissolve a small subsidiary that focused on helping businesses use wireless phones more efficiently.

Allucher Inc. had two employees and $384,000 in capital, and had been established in 2004 under an internal system to encourage entrepreneurship among DoCoMo’s employees.

DoCoMo described Allucher as providing marketing and consulting services “on the efficient use of mobile phones for businesses, particularly firms that provide products and services for women.”

DoCoMo added “The changing business environment has made it difficult to continue business".

Additionally, the subsidiary has been unable to meet its revenue and profit target,” the company indicated in a statement.

The subsidiary had issued 900 shares and is 96.7-percent owned by DoCoMo. It is scheduled to be liquidated in January.

The dissolution of Allucher is not expected to have a significant impact on DoCoMo’s operations.
