Late yesterday, Palm announced the availability of a Windows Mobile 6 update for its Treo 750.
Palm said in a statement "Windows Mobile 6 brings increased functionality, enhanced user interface and
strengthened security and performance to the Treo 750 SmartPhone."
Palm's Treo 750 had been exclusively sold through AT&T in the U.S., but Palm also announced that it
will start selling an unlocked version of the SmartPhone on its Website and through its retail stores.
The unlocked Treo 750 world phone also comes with Windows Mobile 6 and retails for about $549.
Brent Remai, v.p. of business and consumer marketing for Palm said "Microsoft and Palm's alliance continues
to bring the best mobile experience to Treo customers."
Currently, Palm's Treo 750 users can access the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6, as well as a suite of Palm
software enhancements, no charge on Palm's Web site.
