Cricket Communications will produce two new handsets, the Samsung SCH-R-500 and the Motorola MOTO-RAZR-2 V9M.

Available on Cricket subsidiary's Leap Wireless, the Samsung SCH-R-500 handset will be available today for $200.

The SCH-R-500 features an internal antenna for a sleek design, a high-res display, a 1.2 inch external monochrome display, a 1.3 megapixel camera with video, an MP-3 player, stereo speakers, up to 2 GB micro-SD memory card slot, stereo Bluetooth and enhanced voice recognition.

Cricket's new SCH-R-500 is compatible with Cricket's nationwide roaming service and supports Cricket Games and Apps, Mobile Web and Quick Search.

The phone is also BREW-capable for downloading wallpapers, screensavers and ringtones directly over the air.

The RAZR-2 V9-M is available online and in select Cricket retail stores and wireless dealers for $400.

The RAZR-2 V9M also features enhanced dual screens, up to 2 GB of optional removable memory, stereo Bluetooth and a 2-megapixel camera all in a sleek update of the RAZR's original design.
