Motorola's CEO Ed Zander delivered a bullish keynote address to the largest consumer electronics show
in the U.S.
The CEO laid out the growth of cell phone communications and wireless devices in his speech at the CES show,
including 40 million new mobile users per month globally.
"You haven't seen anything yet," Zander said, adding that 25 mobile phones are sold every second while four
births happen in the same time period.
Motorola's CEO showed off a number of devices and services at the Las Vegas show, including the MotoRizr
Z6 phone with a 2 megapixel camera and a music player using Microsoft's music management software.
"We're moving from cool devices to cool experiences," Zander said.
He also announced a deal with Yahoo to put the latest Yahoo Go for Mobile interface into Motorola handsets.
Yahoo announced similar deals with Samsung, Nokia and Research in Motion. The interface uses location-based
technology to personalize information, including local weather, city guides and maps.
Zander also showed off a new Bluetooth headset, the one-ounce MotoActv headset, that will be available in the first half of the year.
