Alltel Wireless said it is now offering Interchange Solution's Sales-NOW CRM software to small businesses.
Alltel says its Sales-NOW service runs through Web browsers and Research in Motion's BlackBerry devices,
connecting to a Microsoft .Net database.
Now users can update their contacts, forecasts, prospects, reports and sales. All changes update immediately
throughout the system.
Joe Johnson, Alltel product manager said "because of the trusted relationships we have developed with our customers, they look to us to provide value-added
services to their mobile devices that are running on the Alltel network."
"As more and more organizations recognize the value of extending critical business processes to their
mobile workforce, they are looking to us, their carrier, for this support," added Johnson.
The Arkansas-based wireless operator plans to emphasize one-stop shopping even though customers can buy
the same service at the same price directly from Interchange.
Alltel said its new service will cost $25 per month for individual users, and $40 for corporate users, plus
an appropriate data plan.
Interchange president Mark Durst said "Alltel resellers will be able to adjust the configuration and
provide a more accurate assessment of specific customer needs.
On Jan. 28, Interchange plans to have a software upgrade that will allow users to create their own
"dashboards".
Durst added that quarterly updates are pushed automatically to single-use customers and performed at IT
departments' discretion in various enterprises.
