Soon, mobile enterprise users will have smartphone access to Microsoft’s CRM (customer relationship management)
software.
TenDigits Software, a Microsoft partner, announced its Mobile Access 4.0 product more than three months ago.
TenDigits has a version for the Internet-based Microsoft Dynamics CRM Express available now, while a
beta version for the high-end Dynamics CRM 4.0 is due in Q3, officials said.
Both versions are designed to run on Windows Mobile and Research In Motion’s BlackBerry devices.
Microsoft said that TenDigits’ technology will be the primary example of mobile CRM access used by
Microsoft salespeople in product demonstrations and marketing materials, even though other companies
make similar products.
But the deal isn't exclusive and no money is trading hands, said Christian Pedersen, senior director
of CRM strategy and planning at Microsoft.
Pricing and technical details weren't immediately available however.
Features of MobileAccess 4.0 include multitenancy, multilingual user interface and licenses for standard,
professional and enterprise use.
