Early this morning, Toyota said it will make its patented Bluetooth hands-free system available on the new 2009 Venza set to go on sale in late August.

Overall, Toyota already offers integrated Bluetooth in 15 car models. The car maker says nothing else is required for full Bluetooth functionality.

With more and more states and provinces enacting tougher laws that prohibit driving while talking on mobile phones, Toyota promises its easy Bluetooth connection system will provide an easy hands-free solution to staying connected while driving a car.

With Bluetooth integrated into onboard DVD navigation and JBL audio systems, the solution provides users with convenient hands-free phone capabilities.

There's no need to connect any interface cables between the phone and the vehicle. Owners simply need to register the phone by pairing to the system, like they already have to do on any other similar Bluetooth system.

Bluetooth hands-free systems are presently available on Toyota RAV-4, Corolla and Matrix models with a JBL audio unit.

The system is also available on Toyota 4-Runner, HighLander, HighLander Hybrid, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tundra, Avalon, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Prius and Solara models with the JBL audio unit or DVD navigation system.

The wireless solution also includes 1-touch call answering via steering-wheel controls or the navigation screen and automatic stereo mute when receiving or making a call.

Drivers can place a call from the outgoing or incoming call logged right from the DVD navigation system.

Voice command functions allow the driver to control his or her entire mobile phone without lifting a single finger.
