Alltel Wireless says it is now offering its users a picture slideshow program called MyShow.

Alltel's new service is available for $3.99 a month beginning today.

Customers can build their own slideshows from existing or previously browsed photos, then they can upload them to social networking websites if they wish.

Then other people using the social network sites can view the slideshows and post comments to others.

Alltel added that, in addition to the youth market focus, MyShow also could be convenient for sharing pictures from family summer vacations.

MyShow is offered by Fun-Mobility, which started the service at CTIA’s Wireless 2008 in May.

Fun-Mobility is a mobile application developer specializing in youth and entertainment markets. Alltel is its first North American wireless carrier, the companies said.

Other photo applications from Alltel include Pic Transfer, the Kodak Mobile Link and Fujifilm Mobile Postcards.
