Motorola continues to try to get itself out of a bind, as the company said it has made two more senior
executive changes.
As part of the changes, Larry Raymond has replaced Steve Strobel as treasurer.
Raymond was with Sears Roebuck for more than twenty years, ending as v.p. and treasurer for his last
5 years there.
Most recently, Raymond was managing director of Oceanus Capital. Strobel was with Motorola for five years.
Motorola's board said "the recent leadership changes are part of an overall plan to swiftly transform the
senior executive team."
Additionally, Stephen Nolan will replace Mike Fenger as head of mobile devices in Europe, the Middle East and
Africa.
Most recently, Nolan was v.p. of sales for Continental Europe.
Motorola added "Nolan and the African team will continue to focus on optimizing key customer relationships,
leveraging our distributor and enterprise channels, and better ensuring coordinated country sell-through."
Since Greg Brown replaced Ed Zander earlier in January, Motorola has undergone some drastic changes in the
top ranks, replacing the head of finance, human resources, marketing and most recently, letting the head of its
failing handset unit go.
According to Motorola's board, Fenger has left the company to pursue other opportunities.
