AT&T announces the availability of its new U-Verse Voice services in some selected markets of California.

Completing the company’s triple play offering, AT&T's new U-Verse Voice service brings together customers' wireline and wireless voice, broadband and TV services with features that promise a new level of integration, convenience and control.

Loretta Walker, AT&T v.p. and general manager for the Sacramento area said "Sacramento is one of the first areas to receive U-verse Voice, and we're excited for our customers to see what true integration is all about."

Walker added “with U-Verse Voice, we're going beyond your basic bundles to make services work together in new and exciting ways all around you.”

Advanced U-Verse Voice features include a single voice mail box for customers U-Verse Voice and wireless lines.

It also includes an online management portal to manage call preferences, contacts and call history. With this comes a ‘locate me’ feature that provides simultaneous ringing on up to four numbers so that a customer never misses an important incoming call.

Overall, AT&T offers U-Verse TV customers two U-verse Voice calling plans: U-verse Voice Unlimited, which includes unlimited local and nationwide minutes to any location in the United States, Canada or the U.S. territories for $40 a month.

AT&T also offers U-Verse Voice 1000, which includes 1,000 anywhere minutes to any location in the United States or U.S. territories for $30 a month.

Customers can add a second phone line, which shares the primary line's calling plan, for $20 a month, and each plan features competitive international rates with no recurring monthly charge.

Because U-Verse Voice is a managed IP-based service, AT&T says that it can promise customers great sound quality and reliability, as well as unmatched calling features, unlike other VoIP providers that offer “best-effort” digital phone services over the public Internet.
