Yesterday, Accuris Networks has launched its Accu-ROAM platform designed for GSM to Wi-Fi hotspot
roaming.
Accuris Networks is a fixed mobile convergence solution provider.
Based on the idea that roaming should preserve a user’s voice, data, SMS and any other wireless
applications experience, Accuris' roaming solution promises to enable subscribers to use Wi-Fi
hotspots to make VoIP calls from their mobile phones.
Aidan Dillon, Accuris Network’s CEO said “at Accuris Networks, our aim is to assist mobile operators
in maintaining their position in the roaming value chain while at the same time increasing the level of
profitability generated from roaming traffic.”
Accuris said it has secured interest from mobile operators, and that operators are interested in
these key areas of the company’s new product:
Enabling mobile operators to compete with VoIP providers on price
Offering subscribers a superior roaming service compared to others
AccuROAM supports both incoming and outgoing calls
