T-Mobile U.S.A. has launched another HotSpot@Home compatible smartphone, the BlackBerry 8820 from RIM (Research
In Motion).
The Wi-Fi-enabled 8820 is an upgrade to the carrier’s 8800 and 8830 BlackBerry handsets.
Although the 8820 is not exactly new, it has been available from AT&T for a few months.
It adds another option for those looking to take advantage of T-Mobile’s VoIP offering.
Along with the 802.11, T-Mobile's new 8820 includes a Micro-SD expansion slot, Bluetooth, GPS and the
BlackBerry e-mail service.
The handset, however, does not include a camera.
The 8820 is available starting today from T-Mobile USA.
