Thinking about launching a mobile virtual network operator service in the United States that features prepaid and postpaid plans, and affordable international calling?

America is a melting pot of immigrants who maintain fond ties, or business connections to friends and family left behind in their mother countries.

Forget it, Total Call Mobile just launched.

The new MVNO credited Telcordia’s hosted solution for its ability to launch prepaid service within 90 days, underscoring the speed with which new entrants to the space can crank up business without those pesky, multi-billion dollar investments in infrastructure made by major carriers.

Total Call said it will run voice and data offerings on Sprint Nextel Corp.’s CDMA network, offering international direct dial with one button touch and customer service in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog (Philippines) and, incredibly, English.

Total Call Mobile said its branded phones are available at retail outlets nationwide, but a check of its Web site reveals that the “Where to Buy” page is currently under construction. Online sales appear to be active.
