Today, Sony Ericsson just announced a whole slew of new phones, starting with the 5th generation P-Series SmartPhone,
the Model P-1.
Running on the Symbian operating system, Sony's new P-1 phone promises to be a complete pocket office
solution.
The new phone will support a range of email solutions and Web browsing applications, as well as multiple
connectivity options including Wi-Fi, UMTS and even VoIP.
The Sony Ericsson P-1 also is 25 percent smaller than the P-990, and even includes a 3.2 megapixel camera,
business card scanner, media player and 512 MB memory stick micro.
Expected to launch in the third quarter of 2007, the P-1 will be released in selected markets.
For the artsy phone lover, Sony Ericsson's S-500 is born out of our design teams love for the materials and
colors found in the natural world.
A slim, slider phone that comes in mysterious green and spring yellow, users can set the display themes to
change with the seasons, during the day or from the week to the weekend.
The S-500 includes a 2 megapixel camera, expandable memory slot and PC connectivity.
Pricing information has not been disclosed.
The S-500 is expected in North America sometime in the fall of this year. Sony Ericsson also is releasing
two new T-series handsets, the T-650 and the T-250.
For the T-650, expect a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3-G connectivity, and a scratch-proof mineral glass display,
all in a stainless steel casing.
The T-250 ramps up the lower end of the phone spectrum, with a VGA camera and built-in FM radio.
The T-650 will be available in dual mode UMTS 2100-GSM/GPRS, while the T-250 will be available in two
versions, GSM/GPRS 900/1800 or 850/1900.
Both T-series phones will be available sometime in the fall of 2007.
