While it is mostly smartphones that currently dominate the wireless market, and they seem to be the gadgets to
have at the moment, midrange wireless handsets still shouldn’t be ignored.
The Nokia 6700 Classic handset is exactly what it says it is: classic.
From design to usability, the 6700 is a solid alternative to the sometimes confusing smartphones, and while it is
not as feature-laden as something like the HTC Desire handset is, it’s an excellent candybar phone that will without
doubt surprise new owners.
Obviously, as a cheaper handset, the Nokia 6700 doesn’t come packed with every possible feature available, but it
does include all the necessary wireless gadgets and gizmos for the modern day phone user: a decent camera, a
speedy Internet browser, Bluetooth functionality, etc.
Perhaps a little more customisation ability would be handy, but that’s just nit picking, as the Nokia 6700 is
perfect for anyone who wants a fashionable, yet very affordable mobile handset.
The Samsung Genio Slide has fused elements of both the Genio Touch, and the Genio QWERTY, and the result is
a fantastic little handset with 3G technology, high-speed HSDPA mobile data support, and Wi-Fi connectivity
built in.
It’s predecessors didn’t possess these features, therefore Samsung are proving that they have what it takes to
develop smartphones and make them of a higher quality each time they release them.
What’s more, the smartphone features an onboard satellite navigational system. Obviously aimed at the youth
market, the Samsung Genio Slide delivers in almost every area, and is a terrific alternative to the Apple iPhone.
As a low-cost touchscreen, it really doesn’t get much better than this, and with a lengthy feature list and roll-call
of functionality, the Samsung Genio Slide could well be the new smartphone to have.
