Telus Mobility says it has chosen NetMotion Wireless' Mobility XE solution for its VPN (virtual private network) service offering.

Bob Hunsberger, president and CEO of NetMotion Wireless said "companies and government agencies throughout Canada have mobile field workers that need secure and consistent wireless access to information in order to perform their jobs efficiently."

"Telus is at the forefront of providing their customers with advanced wireless services, and we're very pleased to work with them to enhance mobile productivity for these major accounts,” said Hunsberger.

The new VPN software includes features such as automatic selection of the fastest available network.

It also includes data compression and link optimization, customizable policies and support for real-time applications such as streaming video.
