Motorola is announcing that it now offers nine new mobile phones.
Among the new phones is the latest luxury version of the company's flagship RAZR phone.
Motorola's RAZR-2 V-8 comes with in an ultra slim design with gold-plated accents and snake-skin texture.
The new handset also includes a 2-megapixel camera, up to 2 GB of internal storage, Motorola's patented
CrystalTalk technology, which automatically adjusts volume to background noise.
The new phone also features Windows Media Player 11 and a large color display.
The RAZR2 V8 is expected to be available in some select markets before Dec. 23, 2007.
Motorola also announced seven new lower cost W-series phones.
The new devices were inspired by the vision of delivering Motorola's high-tier style and innovation at an
affordable price point, according to the company.
Overall, 4 of the 7 W-series handsets include FM radio and six of them include CrystalTalk Technology, which
was previously found only on higher-end Motorola handsets.
Stu Reed, president of Motorola's Mobile Devices said "the everyday communications segment represents dynamic
growth and is a key area of focus for Motorola."
The mobile handset manufacturer also introduced the new Moto U-9 to its lineup, but with no U.S. release date
planned as of yet.
The unit is a lightweight clamshell phone and music player with a 2-megapixel camera with 8X zoom and multiple
messaging capabilities.
The new phone is expected to be released in Asia, Latin America and Europe.
