Verizon Wireless said that it is maintaining its relationship with Syniverse Technologies for another three years.

In the agreed partnership, Syniverse will provide its product lines to help Verizon manage data clearing and roaming operations, including mobile data roaming, data clearinghouse and UniRoam.

"This contract continues as a good working relationship that our two companies have shared for the past twenty years," said Tony Holcombe, Syniverse president and CEO.

Overall, UniRoam consists of an inter-standard roaming technology that lets wireless carriers and operators provide global access to voice and data services across both CDMA and GSM-based mobile networks.

As is usually the case in these announcements, terms of the contract weren't provided.
