The RTG (Rural Telecommunications Group) has launched the RTG Wholesale xchange, a program to help its members with wireless device purchasing.

The Internet-driven SaaS (software-as-a-service) tool helps rural companies lower the cost for mobile devices as well as improve staff’s time management efficiency in the purchasing process.

The Mobile Wholesale Exchange is a secure online purchasing platform that links RTG association members to qualified distributors.

Rural wireless operators can now evaluate device cost offers, issue purchase orders, track shipping information and run purchasing reports.

"The program provides more device choices, more distributor choices and improved staff efficiency," according to Glenn Isihihara, president of Clear Talk.

The Internet-driven SaaS was developed by SCE Software, and was completed September 12.
